A pharmaceutical project manager has to oversee clinical trials and coordinate the development of clinical products. He has to develop the budget required for performing clinical trials. He has to plan the time schedule and quality guidelines for the clinical trails. He also has to ensure that these guidelines are being met by the departments concerned. He has to involve himself in selecting the medical research organizations that would be conducting clinical trials. He has to coordinate with members of the different departments who are involved in the clinical trial and make sure that the time schedules are being met. He also has to compile the data of the trial. He has to ensure that the clinical trial meets the companys goals and objectives. Skills and Specifications A pharmaceutical project manager needs to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He has to possess leadership skills. He must have the perseverance, drive and self confidence to handle the entire workings of a clinical trial. He should be willing to work long hours and not have any issue regarding working in odd shifts. He must be willing to work in a team environment. He must have the oratory skills required to address different departments of people involved in the project he is handling.
